Terms of Use & Disclaimer

AirPings (the Service) is operated by Girish Ravi Rajan, a sole trader, ABN 66 725 203 899 (we, us, our). Contact: dev@prolife.au. Last updated 29 August 2026.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may change these Terms at any time by publishing an updated version on this page; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

2. What the Service is

The Service displays flight information — positions, schedules, gates, terminals, baggage belts and estimated times — aggregated from third-party sources including volunteer ADS-B receiver networks, commercial flight-data providers and open mapping data. It is provided for general information and personal convenience only.

The Service is not an official source of flight information. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as agent for any airline, airport, air navigation service provider or aviation authority.

3. Accuracy and reliance

Flight data is supplied by third parties and is not verified by us. It may be delayed, interrupted, incomplete, out of date or incorrect. Where no live signal is available the Service may display an estimated position calculated from schedule data; such positions are approximations only and do not represent the actual location of any aircraft.

You must not rely on the Service for any decision that matters. This includes deciding when to travel to an airport, whether to board, whether a connection will be met, or when to collect a passenger or baggage. Always confirm directly with the operating airline or the airport.

The Service must not be used for flight planning, navigation, dispatch, air traffic management, emergency response, or any operational or safety-critical purpose.

4. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, and we may change, suspend, limit or discontinue it, in whole or in part, at any time without notice and without liability to you.

5. Notifications

Any alerts the Service provides depend on your device, browser, operating system, permissions and network, and on third-party data being both available and correct. Alerts may be delayed, duplicated or never delivered. Do not rely on receiving an alert. Absence of an alert does not mean nothing has changed.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to: interfere with or disrupt it; access it by automated means or in a way that imposes an unreasonable load; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system; scrape, resell or redistribute data obtained through it in breach of the terms of the underlying data providers; or use it in any way that infringes the rights of others.

7. Third-party services and data

The Service depends on third-party providers and displays their data. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices, or for any change to or withdrawal of their services. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence. Third-party data remains the property of its respective owners.

8. Privacy

The Service does not require an account and we do not collect or store personal information about you on our servers. Preferences (such as your theme and alert setting) are stored locally in your own browser. Flight numbers you search are sent to third-party data providers in order to answer your query, and those providers receive your IP address and handle it under their own privacy policies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.

9. Intellectual property

We own or license the Service’s name, design, layout and software. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, adapt, republish or commercially exploit any part of it without our written permission, except as permitted by law.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded (Non-Excludable Rights).

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and we are permitted to do so, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 10, we exclude all warranties, representations, conditions and guarantees, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 10, we are not liable to you or anyone else for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, however caused (including by our negligence), and whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise.

This includes, without limitation, any missed flight, missed connection, delay, cancellation, re-booking cost, accommodation or transport cost, lost or delayed baggage, wasted time, lost profits, lost opportunity, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to AUD $100.

13. Indemnity

You indemnify us against any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense we suffer arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or the rights of any person.

14. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts competent to hear appeals from them. If any provision is held unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
